Up to 18 meters recess in the shallow channel between mainland and a small outcrop of rocks located in the mouth of the bay with prominent influence of strong tidal currents.
This dive site is located along the South-East coast of Lombok half way (approx. 1 hour’s drive from either locations) between Belongas and South (“Secret”) Gilis and offers a unique opportunity in Lombok to dive with majestic manta rays. White tip reef sharks, day octopuses, false stonefishes have also been regularly spotted there.
We have discovered the Manta Pot in August 2020 and had consistent sitings of schooling manta rays there from August to November. However, in the absence of observations data outside 2020 we are yet to discover if there is a season for manta rays and what are other patterns that increase the chances for their sitings.
